Armed with a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology, Alain started his pharma career in 2003 with Topigen, an emerging biotech company developing novel antisense oligo therapeutics for respiratory diseases. Initially managing early stage discovery projects in the lab, he gradually transitioned to a director position where he was responsible for all the company’s scientific outsourcing activities, including CMC-Manufacturing, GLP toxicology and early phase clinical, as well as the different programs’ regulatory interactions. Alain leverages his outstanding drug development experience to help clients navigate drug development programs. Alain also teaches a drug development class to pharmacology students at the Université de Sherbrooke.
Alain spends most of his downtime on his bike or skis, avidly training for the next challenge in the Pyrenees, French, Swiss, or Italian Alps, or simply trying to keep up with his son on a Sunday afternoon bike ride.
