Dean Wenham Ph.D.: President and Chief Executive Officer
Dr. Wenham has over 10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries where he has held a number of positions within the fields of pharmacology and drug discovery. Dr. Wenham started his industrial career at Pfizer in the UK before holding a senior research position at AstraZeneca. He then occupied the position of principle scientist and group leader at Cambridge Drug Discovery (now Biofocus), a contract research organization in the UK. Dr. Wenham moved to Montréal in 2001 and joined PerkinElmer as Associate Director of Molecular Pharmacology before founding InSymbiosis. Dr. Wenham brings InSymbiosis a wealth of experience in pharmacology and drug discovery together with strong project and general management skills.
Dr. Wenham obtained his Ph.D. in pharmacology from University College London in the field of receptor signal transduction and followed these studies during a post-doctoral fellowship at the Weis Center for Research, PA, USA.

Marcel Pinchevsky MBA: Chief Operating Officer
Mr. Pinchevsky brings InSymbiosis over 35 years of management consulting experience. He has been involved in the start up and management of a number of successful manufacturing, software services and management consultancy companies. Mr. Pinchevsky practiced as a management consultant at Coopers and Richter and in 1998 before he founded Pinchevsky & Co Management Consultants. This firm had as its primary focus to create a professional practice which could best serve the companies dealing with the Canadian government Research and Development Tax credit program. Mr. Pinchevsky has grown this practice to over 20 professionals across Canada and he brings this key expertise set to the center of InSymbiosis’ business model.
Mr. Pinchevsky graduated from McGill University (Montréal) in chemical engineering followed by an MBA from the London Business School.

Karl-Rudolf Erlemann M.Sc. Ph.D.: Director of Research
Prior to joining the InSymbiosis team, Dr. Erlemann was with the Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics group at Charles River Laboratories. While at Charles River, Dr. Erlemann was deeply implicated in the development of a multitude of biochemical assays as well as a wide variety of in vitro and ex vivo DMPK studies. Dr. Erlemann brings to InSymbiosis his in depth experience in DMPK, in analytical method development and in GLP-compliance implementation.
Dr. Erlemann obtained his Ph.D. in biochemistry from the Humboldt-University in Berlin, Germany (experimental work carried out at McGill University in Montréal, Québec). His work focused on the regulation of the formation of inflammatory mediators during oxidative stress using a pharmacological approach.
A native of Germany, Dr. Erlemann obtained his M.Sc. in Biophysics from the Humboldt University in Berlin, Germany. His research focused on the extraction of lipid-analogs from human blood cells and artificial membranes (liposomes).

Verkin Khajadourian, B.Sc. M.Sc.: Director of Business Development
Ms Khajadourian joined the InSymbiosis team in August of 2008 as Director of Business Development. Prior to joining InSymbiosis, Ms.Khajadourian served for seven years in various roles in the Preclinical drug development area at Charles River. Ms. Khajadourian brings to InSymbiosis significant experience in the management and promotion of drug development services together with a solid acquired knowledge in the fields of Biotechnology and Pharmaceuticals.
Ms. Khajadourian holds a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry as well as a Master of Science in Analytical Chemistry, both from Concordia University in Montréal, Québec.
